About Mylar OL & OLT
Mylar ® OL is a biaxially oriented polyester film with a heat-sealable coating on one surface and plain polyester on the other. Mylar ® OL provides a peelable seal when heat-sealed to itself, APET/CPET trays, polyester coated board, PETG, PVC and polycarbonate.
Mylar ® OL seals between 140°C to 220°C and is ideal for use as a self-venting lidding film for ready meals.
The product can withstand temperatures as low as -70°C and can be used in both microwave and conventional ovens where cooking time is typically 220°C for 30mins. Thinner grades, when used in single web form, may tear upon opening.
- Recommended storage conditions: 10°C – 25°C; 20% – 50% RH
- Shelf Life: 12 months from delivery date (under recommended storage conditions).
